Basic Tap Language: 

*Everyone has different variations of the basic Tap language

stamp - flat foot step (changing weight)

st - step - on the toe step ( changing weight)

stomp - flat foot ( to be used again no weight change)

dig - toe rest on the ball of foot (no weight change)

br - brush - brush with toe forward

slap - brush with toe back

sc - scuff - scuff with heel

hop - lift weight on standing foot, do not switich feet

j - jump - lift weight from standing foot to other foot, switching feet

sh - shuffle - brush front then back

t - toe- toe tap

sta - stab - top of toe dig

strk - strike - brushing the outside of toe of shoe from back to side ending foot up(like a match striking!)

h - heel - heel tap

f - flap- brush, step

r - roll - toe, heel

p - paddle - heel, slap

pr - paddle roll - heel, slap, step, heel

cr - cramp roll - step, step, heel, heel

ts - toe stand - up on  toe, tip of shoes, one foot

ts2 - double toe stand - up on both toes, tip of shoes

tr - toe roll - stab, stab, step, step (should be in a double toe stand on 2nd stab!)

tw - tap walk - heel, toe

r - riff - 4 or more notes in a row

R4 - 4 count riff - toe, scuff, heel, toe

R5 - 5 count riff - toe, scuff, other heel, heel, toe

R6 - 6 count riff - toe, scuff, other heel, heel, toe, heel

R7 - 7 count riff - toe, scuff, other heel, heel, toe, other heel, heel

W - weevil - flap,  heel, heel,  slap, heel, stab, heel

W2 - double weevil - flap, heel, heel, heel, heel, slap, heel, stab, heel

swing weevil - flap, heel, heel, heel, slap, heel, stab
