The Tappercussion Mark VII electronic (e-tap) instrument is a MIDI controller for tap dancers which enables the rhythm tapper the ability to generate extra layers of sound. These voices can include percussion instrument sounds as well as tuned pitches for playing melody and harmony. Get funky with a fat sounding drum kit, or go for a world music vibe with Latin and Asian percussion sounds. Play a melody with your feet as you tap the beat. SPECS: The Tappercussion Mark VII electronic (e-tap) instrument by Shoehorn represents nearly two decades of research, experimentation and field testing on the concert stage and recording studio. The instrument measures 36 x 36". The standard version weighs: 28.6 lbs for the foot boards plus 11 lbs. for components which include: the Yamaha sound module, the stand for the module, the cable snake and the power supply. Total weight approximately 39.6 lbs. The instrument can be used with headphones for relatively quiet practice, or hooked up to any sound system or amplifier with the correct cable attachment. Amplifier and headphones not included. Customers have the option of ordering the controller only (foot boards with cables, $500) if they want to experiment with other sound modules or laptop based equipment. Other sizes and configurations can be built to order according to specific choreographic requirements. 2-6 weeks for delivery
